Dance & Drama Coordinator
(Aged 18 +)
Responsible to:
Activity Instructors, Centre Manager, Operations
Manager and Directors.
Liaise with:
Activity Instructors, Other Activity Supervisors,
& General Assistants.
Location:
At one or more of the 8 Kids Klub Centres.
Job Summary:
To deliver safe and enjoyable Activity sessions,
with a focus on Dance & Drama sessions,
to Kids Klub participants. Also to monitor the
free time of those participants, and to contribute
positively to the day-to-day running of the
Kids Klub Activity Centre.
Responsibilities
• To oversee the safety and well-being
of children, and accompanying adults, participating
in activities under your supervision.
• To organise, advertise and present Dance
and Drama activities in the activity programme
and evening entertainments, and motivate participation.
• To attend internal and external training
courses organised by Kids Klub.
• Supporting children in non-activity
time with their needs.
• To assist Instructors with activities
for which you have been trained.
• Supervising activities which, having
been trained and assessed for, you are able
to lead.
• To be familiar with all the statements
in the site specific Kids Klub Health &
Safety Policy Statement, and the ‘Company
Culture’ to observe safe working methods.
• To plan appropriately for the activities
that you are time-tabled for.
• To follow the systems in place for equipment
management and record keeping.
• To protect and conserve all properties
belonging to the company.
• At least once per week carry out the
duties for ‘Duty Day’
- Remain on the premises at all times;
- Check communal rooms and external facilities;
- Supervise the orderly conduct of meals;
- Patrol the building after lights out to ensure
all the children are settled;
- Secure the building;
- Report any incidents to senior staff on duty.
• To assist any person requiring medical
treatment to a qualified First Aider.
• In exceptional circumstances, make up
beds and clear rooms for the arrival and departure
of children.
• To report any accident or near miss
occurrence.
• To report faults on machinery, activity
equipment, fabric of the building and vehicles.
• To assist in the checking and maintaining
of activity equipment according to in-house
training.
