Insurance
Introduction
As with previous years, in 2008 we are able to offer a competitively
priced insurance policy to protect you against financial loss
should you find yourself in a position where you need to cancel
or curtail your child's holiday with us. This policy also
provides all the medical and personal possession cover common
to travel insurance.
The Policy
If you decide to take advantage of the policy you should announce
this intention at the time of the booking. Once we have received
your request we will send through the documents with full
details of scope of cover and any exclusions. Below you will
find a resume of these details. If you would prefer to see
full details of the policy before committing yourself please
telephone to receive the full terms and conditions prepared
by the insurance company.
Scope of Cover
Cancellation/Curtailment to a maximum value of £3,000*
Repatriation to the value of £2,000,000
Personal accident to a value of £25,000
Medical and other expense to a value of £10,000,000
Hospital benefit to a value of £2000
Baggage and personal belongings to a value of £2000
Personal Liability to a value of £2,000,000
Travel delay to a value of £300
*lf you have less than 25% or 5 days remaining, whichever
is greater
The insurers will reimburse your expenses (less £50
excess) if the holiday is unavoidably cancelled due to any
cause listed below occurring during the period of insurance:
• Accidental injury, illness or death of the child travelling
on the holiday
• Accidental injury, illness or death of the immediate
family of the child travelling on the holiday
• Compulsory quarantine, jury service, attending court
as a witness
• Accidental damage, which means your house cannot be
lived in
• Your posting overseas or unavoidable duty if you are
a member of the armed forces, police, fire, nursing or ambulance
services

Our arrangement with our insurance company extends only to
UK residents. Those guests coming from overseas should arrange
cover with their local travel agent or insurance company.
If you have decided to opt for the insurance policy you should
calculate the total premium necessary to cover your child(ren|'s
holiday and enter the figure on the Booking Form. Premiums
should then be added to the normal deposit to be paid at the
time of booking.
N.B. In the event that a holiday is cancelled through a disinclination
to travel or for a reason which falls outside the scope of
the policy, the insurance company will not entertain your
claim. In these circumstances, and at the discretion of the
management, the penalty values stated in the booking conditions
will apply.
